Partial screenshots using hot key
If you like an easy option to create (re)sizable screenshots...
Go to Settings -> Keyboard -> Application Shortcuts (tab)
Add
xfce4-screenshooter -r
OK
Ctrl+Print
This complements the built-in Alt-Print for -w (window) and Print for -f (entire screen)
Resizing with mouse
The default window manager Greybird has an insanely small 1 pixel border making window resizing with the mouse nearly impossible.
Go to Settings -> Window Manager switch from Greybird to Greybird-accessibility or Kokodi. Both have larger border, with Kokodi being more visible.
Autokey for common phrases
This application is handy map a string (termed phrase by autokey) to a key combination or abbreviation.
To get it autostarting go to System Settings > Startup and Shutdown > Autostart [Add Program] and find it in the Accessories category
