I got this book as a bonus to the kill-a-watt I asked for xmas (thanks Kiddo!). It really goes into depth about what you need to know about energy efficiency, where and what the typical problems are and how to resolve. The end-of-chapter checklists are a nice touch and comprehensive too.

If you ever wondered what a "therm" or "ccf" is, how to measure the gallons-per-minute (gpm) used by your showerhead(s) and so on, this book is for you.

As I finished the book I had a nice concise list of to-dos for my own house that I am tackling little by little. Spent over an hour in my nasty crawlspace assessing the conditions and measure the ducts. Whee!
